Colorful Interiors: 5 Rooms Invite Color

The newest palette has been unveiled. The Pantone Color Institute announced the Spring/Summer 2025 colors in conjunction with New York Fashion week. What does this mean for home design? Colorful Interiors, of course! At Timan Window Treatments, we love following the evolution of design, and we enjoy sharing what’s new in the world of style. We want to share what fellow homeowners and designers are doing with these alluring colors…

The Newest Palette

It’s a wild mix, with some well-loved favorites and a few newcomers. There is a lot you can do with this palette of colors, especially since there are three greens, two blues and two from the brown family! This palette was practically made for home design.

The Five Neutrals

Along with the announcement of the upcoming year’s palette, Pantone follows up by introducing the neutrals. These colors are expected to be seen as the foundation for outfits and room spaces alike. This year’s top five are warmed up for style.

Welcome Home

As a soft, inviting entryway to the home, this mudroom boasts beautiful color. The light green cabinetry pairs beautifully with the woven baskets and stained wood seating. The only thing better than the color scheme is the organization of this space. What a great way to enhance the design of your family’s drop zone.

Designer Playroom

This space is the epitome of colorful interiors, incorporating almost every color on this year’s palette into ONE room design. And, it looks fantastic. Customized for a playful atmosphere, the seating offers comfort for the whole family. The mix of patterns was well chosen to bring in color with a sophisticated air. The wallpaper introduces a sense of adventure, ideal for playful design.

Color in the Kitchen

We know that the “white kitchen” is timeless, but when you see one that invites color…Wow! This wall of blue tile backsplash combined with the medium-tone wood grain? It’s a fabulous combination that showcases a mid-century modern vibe, continuing through the pendants and flat front cabinetry. Look closely at the neutral-toned counter and lower cabinetry, and you’ll notice the warmth of “Moonbeam,” a neutral pulled right off of this year’s top five.

Dine in Style

And, just like that, a dining room that’s full of personality. When we talk colorful interiors, the pairing of orange and yellow might not be the go-to for many of us. But, when you see them here, it works. It’s all about balance when you’re incorporating two bold shades. The mustard yellow of the upholstered bench, in clean lines, appears more of a feature wall than furniture. The orange chairs pack a punch, while the curves soften the look with an artistic element. The whole space is backed by a soothing blueish-green wallpaper and grounded with the plain white table and wood-toned flooring.

The Sanctuary Bathroom

The beauty of colorful interiors is that you can choose just how much, or how little, you want to incorporate. It’s your space, and you can decide which colors brighten your day and which ones offer a calming atmosphere. The bathroom tiles in this space make a statement. The colors they chose pair well together, intentionally splashing color into an otherwise neutral room design. The matte finishes of surfaces in this bathroom speak to the natural world, pairing nicely with the beautiful view of greenery just beyond the windows.

Using sheer shades in the bathroom allows for daytime privacy, with filtered light that result in a glowing atmosphere. They also introduce the natural world as part of the decor. Window treatments are a great way to bring a neutral backdrop into your home. Or you can choose vibrant fabrics in an effort to create your own colorful interiors.
